A beautiful ride in Istria, Croatia.

This is one of our favorite rides in Istria, Croatia. Often called the “Tuscany” of Croatia, this region offers miles of winding roads and ascents, with little to no traffic. This particular route, one of our favorites, travels from the fishing village of Rovinj to the historic center of Pula.

Bonus: check out the shots of Pula’s incredible Roman Dalmatia Express:

In March 2018, we partnered with Hvar Life Cycling to organize and lead an 850-KM ride over 5 days, from the historic center of Treviso, Italy to the Dalmatian island of Hvar, Croatia. “Dalmatia Express” brought together a dozen cyclists from all over the world for one epic adventure.

Hi, I’m Matt and this site is my passion project. I have traveled the world cycling, from Croatia to Cuba and Morocco to Myanmar. And, I always return to my home base in Italy in awe of the country’s cycling culture, infrastructure and scenery. For me, Trentino and Tuscany are cycling dreams. On this site, I plan to share training tips, routes and advice for planning a cycling trip. I’m happy to answer any questions and am always up for planning a ride. Send me an email at cycletrentino@gmail.com. Happy riding!
